With Halloween fast approaching you may be looking for some fun crafts and activities to do with the children. Our witches hat silhouette art will go down a storm with the children. A bonus is it can be done with a range of different ages so if you have different children to cater for this is a fun one that lots of ages will really enjoy doing.
PLEASE NOTE - There is a FREE DOWNLOAD available in this post so you can give this activity a go too.
You will need:
Card
A Witches Hat Stencil
A Peg
Pom Poms
Paint
Tape
I would recommend doing this activity using card. Print out the witches hat stencils onto some card and cut them out. As mentioned above I have created a printable for you, so you can use the ones we provide if you like. You will find these at the bottom of this post.
Fold some tape into a loop and press between your fingers to remove some of the sticky. This will help to prevent your card from tearing when you remove it later on. Secure the hat in the centre of your card with the tape.
If you are to leave any gaps, this will make the artwork not as effective.
There is more chance of the paint smudging slightly, however if you wait until it has all dried, there is a chance the template will have dried onto the card - meaning some of the colour could end up lifting when you try and remove.
Once you have enough colour on your card you can gently look at easing the template away. You can do this once the paint has dried or straight away. We always tend to remove right away. The children are so keen to see their art they like to take it off as soon as they're done.

Once you have successfully removed the template, pop the artwork aside for a few hours to dry fully.
A really simply art technique that can be put together really quickly.
Give it a go!
