“The children were fascinated and after a little talk about safety precautions, staying straight, keeping your back wheels away from the edge, being aware of splinters, taking turns etc they can't get enough of it.
Already children are building up the strength to be able to cycle up the ramp, warning each other if they get too close to the edge, helping each other up to the top and taking turns. They are experimenting with different bikes and working out that they need a good long fun up to stand a chance of getting to the top. Learning at its best!”

The children would be in their element hoping on this bus with all their friends. Bringing their play to life - they could venture to the shops, to the seaside or go to visit their Auntie Stacey for tea and cake. Simple to create with a pallet base and recycling some old chairs.
TOP TIP - Looking to source materials? Why not post in your local Facebook pages and see if anyone in the area can help support you? You could be doing them a favour by taking things off them.

Book Storage
Use the slats on the pallets to create the perfect book holder. This would particularly be excellent for outdoor spaces as the pallets could be moved around easily. Also great from the younger children who could crawl up to the storage and select their own stories. Do remember that pallets would need to be treated correctly to make sure the risk of splinters is removed.

Upright Garden
Create and upright garden. If you have a setting that is short on space here is a fabulous alternative. If you're looking to add a bit of colour to a spot then this is a great way to do that. Not only do they look so pretty you are helping to give Nature a home and a source of pollen for insects and bumble bees.

Pallet Train
The creativity and skill here is pretty epic - I think we would all agree! This train creation would be loved by the children. You could add your own bell too to ring once you arrive at the stations. Perhaps you could also go the extra mile and add a control display to help drive the train.

A Frame Fabric Tent
This looks really easy to make. You could change the fabric to link in with current themes and interests. Throw in a blanket and some cushions and you have a lovely cosy area for the children to enjoy a little time out.

Friendship Den
Create a place for children to go when they want to talk with a friend. A place to go where they feel safe. I love the addition of flowers on the side too! Children would love the responsibility of looking after them and keeping them well watered.

Pallet Small World
Why not use the pallets as a base to bring small world play to life? I really love how you could paint designs both sides and also transport them easily indoors and out.
