Pumpkin crafts and activities are well underway in my household now. Its been pouring of rain here in the UK and although that never stops us, I had to stay in for some parcels being delivered today so the art and crafts came out.
You will need:
Red and Yellow Paint
A4 Black Card
A4 White Card
Sellotape
Pencil
Scissors
Laminator
Laminating Pouches
Begin by drawing a large pumpkin template on your Black A4 Card. Using scissors cut out the centre of your template leaving the outer part of your template as seen in the picture.
Put it through the laminator and stick it up on the window using sellotape.
I love mess and I encourage my children to explore and get stuck in at every opportunity, but sometimes it is good to have activities that are a bit different and also messy activities aren't always suitable. Sometimes children don't like getting their hands dirty. Sometimes you're just after a nice quick activity with minimal mess - this ticks boxes.
We use our Little Brian Paint Sticks all the time here. They are so handy. Beautiful vibrant colours and they last for such a long time. It dries really fast and leaves no mess! We have used them on our windows. We created a lovely Easter Display that you can see on Instagram on the windows. I must get round to doing an autumn one with the children.

The twins loved removing the lids from the paint sticks, doing abit of mark making followed by popping the lids back on and repeating over and over and over.
They were engaged and really enjoying the activity - collaboratively they were creating beautiful rainbow pumpkins! I absolutely LOVE them!
I had cut some eyes and mouth templates out for the boys to add to their pumpkins, using the card I had cut out earlier on so there was very little waste from this activity.
Paint Stick (Mess Free) Sun Catchers Pumpkins in Action:
The pumpkin sun catchers are now up on my patio doors looking gorgeous! I love nothing more than crafting and making with the children and when I observe them fully absorbed in the moment and having fun - artwork that is left afterwards always leaves me with a lovely warm fuzzy feeling. A moment in time captured.
I absolutely love them, they will make lovely decorations over the coming weeks for Harvest and Halloween.
