This week I shared some pretty impressive Farm Animal Eggs. You have been LOVING them over on Instagram. Well today we have some more lovely eggs, but this time they are the cutest Woodland Animals. Great on the lead up to Easter but fabulous to use afterwards too. As the interests start flowing through various books, television programmes or woodland walks - you can use these to bring play to life.
You will need:
Paint
Black Permanent Marker
Wooden Eggs
Paint Brush
Hot Glue Gun
Black, Orange, Brown and Pink Card
Pencil
Start off by painting your wooden eggs. You will n doubt find that you need a couple of coats to avoid any patches. Allow the paint to dry fully between coats.
Use your pencil to add your facial features and stomach patches as needed.
Paint the details with complementing colours as pictured above.
Once your paint is completely dry, use a black marker pen to draw noses onto each egg. See how they're coming together now? Looking super cute already!
Use your pencil to draw eye lashes. When you are happy with your design, carefully go over them with your marker pen.
Download the woodland animal template which can be found at the bottom of the page. Cut out your templates and trace them onto the coloured sheets of card.
Cut out the ears for each animal and using your glue gun carefully attach them to the eggs. Do the same for the antlers and the tails - adding them in the right places.
Your woodland animals are complete. Use them as decorations, to bring alive small worlds or to accompany you on woodland walks.
