Drip, Drop Drip little April showers or a big horay for St Patricks Day! Spring (or quite frankly anytime) is great for Rainbow crafts. Throughout the year Rainbow crafts are enjoyed here. I don't think it matters how old you are - seeing a rainbow is magical!
This is going to be a post that shares lots of colour as I go on to share this craft with you plus a handful of rainbow crafts and activities we have been enjoying!
Pinch a cotton wool ball between your clothes peg and submerge it in paint as above. You may have noticed that I use a paper plate to squib my paint onto. They are fabulous for reducing mess. Once its finished being used you can recycle the plate. Having the flat surface is also beneficial to submerge the cotton ball into.
Begin to dab on your canvas in the shape of a traditional rainbow. A rainbow shooting across of sky or just simply have fun with it and make your own designs, shapes and patterns.
Repeat the steps with more colours and watch your rainbow come together. How pretty do all the colours look together?
Allow the paint time to dry. Cut out cloud shapes from your white card and add them to your masterpiece using a glue stick.
Your canvas is finished! They would make lovely keepsakes to send home to mark occasions such as St Patricks Day. Use them around your rooms to add colour!
I mentioned above sharing some of our other Rainbow Crafts and Activities:
