Last Minute Holiday

What is your usual preference when booking your holidays? Are you somebody who books in advance or do you wait for the last minute deals? 

Personally we do a bit of both. Sometimes we need to plan ahead to get certain dates around the school holidays but we often get last minute get a ways deals too. 

What I really love about last minute get a ways is the feeling of living in the moment. You get the idea, and you go with it. We have even been known to browse and end up going somewhere we have never really thought of going before. We have uncovered some beautiful places by doing this. We've even gone back years later and visited the same place again! 

With last minute holidays there isn't a never ending countdown and there is not much time to shop for holiday goodies. Its fun and exciting!

If you have children too you have an added bonus. They don't understand the concept of time so springing a holiday on them with only a couple of days to go is perfect! 

Have you seen coverage in the media of families who have said goodbye to the 9-5 and now they spend their time travelling the world. Enjoying quality time together, seeing as much as they can of what the world has to offer. I admire these families and secretly hope that one day we might be brave enough to take the chance too. We've all got to have dreams right?

Holidays are brilliant for everyone. Life is busy and so fast paced. Getting away gives you a break. Time away together gives you the opportunity to connect. There is so much to see and so much to learn.

I must admit I have spent a good hour over there tonight. It's so cold here at the moment in the UK - a lovely bit of sun shine would do us good. Now to see what the other half thinks of it.
