What to put inside a Christmas Eve Box. What is a Christmas Eve Box?

Christmas Eve boxes have very quickly become a new holiday favourite tradition!! A tradition that sparks magic and excitement for not only the children in the family but the adults too!!

To put it simply a Christmas Eve Box is a box filled with treats that children open on Christmas Eve.

Children get so excited on the lead up to Christmas - having a box to open the day before gives them little activities to get up to to keep them busy! They also contain some very special jobs to do!

We created Christmas Eve Boxes again this year! I loved doing the shopping for them!

We had 2 boxes, they looked like this:

Inside the personalised box the contents were:

A Santa Key, a packet of Magical Reindeer food, sweets, Snowman soup, a personalised nice list certificate and some golden coins!!

Lots of important jobs to do before going to bed on Christmas Eve!! There's the key to hang outside, reindeer food to sprinkle outside and delicious snowman soup to make!!
The personalised boxes have been available to buy from us this year! Lots of you purchased them - I hope your children love them as much as we did putting them together! They will be available every year - drop us a message to order.

For those of you that follow our blog, you will be aware that our family was blessed with twin boys in the Summer. It was a massive change for my daughter - going from being the only child. She has taken to being a big sister like a dream and I am very proud of that! It isn't easy having to wait your turn, having to share time yet she has taken it on the chin and enjoys getting stuck in and helping out! It really was a pleasure to put this box together as I honestly feel she deserves it! Once I had tucked the children up in bed one night I ventured to Tesco to go and fill the other box up!!

Lots and lots and lots of fun things to keep her busy Christmas Eve..... lets take a closer look!!

I am forever buying books! Can't get enough of them! It was the first time I had seen the Snowman and the Snowdog book in the shops. The illustrations were stunning and once I had opened the pages..... I was hooked, there was no way I could not take this home!!

The story took a twist for me. I have watched the movie many times and my interpretation of the film was totally wrong!! Have you read the book too? Would be interesting to hear if anyone else found this too?

Browsing the DVD section for our film before bed it HAD to be Father Christmas.

I felt a warm fuzzy feeling inside when this film jumped out at me from the shelves! Its a loved film from my childhood that I hadn't seen for many, many years!! Without question it was added to my basket!! Both classics by the brilliant Raymond Briggs!

Treats, treats and more treats. All my daughters favourites!! You cant beat watching a film in new PJ's, munching on goodies!! Of course we didn't consume all of these in one night..... ;)

Frozen features quite a bit in our box! A new frozen nightie. I always bath my children Christmas Eve whilst playing Christmas music.... so I brought some new things to try out in the bath!! A Frozen Kinder Egg and Frozen cupcakes to make!!!

I couldn't resist this cup and bowl set! I thought it would be perfect to house the snacks on her lap and for her Snowman Soup!! Tesco also do Snowman designs in this set!

Lots of colouring and stickers!!

We had a ball with our box! Next year I will need to put something together for all 3 of my children seeing as the boys will be 18 months old next year! I already can't wait!!
