Toy Car Activities and Storage Ideas

Do you have a little one in your household/setting who just LOVES playing with toy cars? If you do, this is a collection of ideas you wont want to miss! We have been busy collecting all the best toy car activities and storage ideas out there and here they are in one place:

This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

Parking Lot

Label up your cars and using a cardboard box create a parking lot. Children match the cars to the correct space in the car park. You could do this for colours, letters, ordering your name and numbers.

Patterns

Create pattern cards for your children to copy.
Maybe they could have a go at creating their own cards to challenge their friends.

Small World Road

Whilst out and about set the little ones a task to collect some rocks and bring them back to paint to create a rocky road. A great activity that can be left as an accessibly activity outdoors when the correct paint and finish has been used.

Use tubes and race through tunnels, exploring the world of gravity!
Have races - who will take first place?

Create a large frozen ice block full of cars - set the little ones a challenge to rescue them all!
How will they decide to do it?

Drawing with Cars - Housing a Forest
Do you have a child who loves cars but is reluctant to mark make? Maybe you have a child who loves to mark make AND play with cars..... Whether you are faced with either of the above or you are simply looking to do something a little different this activity is great, colourful fun!

I love anything sensory play related.I dont think you can beat seeing a child getting stuck in exploring, imagining and getting dirty! Love the idea of 'fake' dirt too, although of course you could use the real thing if you feel it would be suitable for the children taking part!

Car Bath - Stir the Wonder
Fizzing Car Science - Fun at Home with the Kids
Learn Spellings - Playdough to Plato
Bowling - Crayon Freckles

Painting with Trucks - Learn Play Imagine
Painting with Cars and Trucks, plus Car Washing - Messy Little Monster

Do you have a large box lying around? Why not set about making your very own personalised car garage?! The kids will love being hands on and making this to play with!

If you have a little one who just loves playing with toy cars, they no doubt have a good sized collection. Not only have we brought together some of the very best ways to play with them here are some super smart ways to store them too...........
