Christmas Bauble Suncatchers

I love Christmas and I love Suncatchers! They are quick and easy crafts making them perfect for Toddlers and Preschoolers! They add colour to the room and can be created to fit any season, topic or hobby!

Today I am sharing with you our Christmas Bauble Suncatchers!

You will need:

Two circular objects to use as templates to draw around (one bigger than the other)
Pencil
Scissors
Coloured Cellophane
Laminator
Laminating Pouches
Hole Punch

Begin by drawing your bauble. You will need your circular objects to draw around and create something that looks like this:

TIP - Make sure the little circle you draw at the top to attach your string is large enough to punch a hole through using a hole punch.

Cut around the template and cut out the circle in the middle to leave you with the window to decorate.

Place your baubles onto an open laminating pouch and start decorating by adding your coloured cellophane.

Once you have finished adding the cellophane, close your pouch and carefully pick it up and place it in the laminator.

Cut around them and use a hole punch to punch a hole through the top of your template to add string.

As I said I love Suncatchers and we have been busy making all different ones this year:

I know some of you may wish to do this activity with larger groups of children, meaning the drawing of the templates may be a little tedious for you if you have many of them to create.

Here is a super cute Christmas Bauble download for you with a total of 12 Baubles in a selection of 6 different colours - Click here to Download.

In addition to creating suncatchers, with this download you can also:

- Do a sticking activity and use various materials.
- Use them to paint on and drawn on.
- You could even add pictures to them and create a Pairs or Snap game.
