Princess Playdough Party Favours

If you enjoy creating and making things that stand out from the crowd, then these Princess Playdough Party Favours may just tickle your fancy!

We recently celebrated my daughters 3rd Birthday with one of her best friends who has a Birthday days apart from her and he was turning 2 years old.

We made a list of all the girls and boys that were attending and started to think about collectively what they were into. The boys all LOVE dinosaurs at the moment so created some Dinosaur themed playdough party favours for them that went down an absolute TREAT!

The girls are all completely into Princess'. They all love dressing up and anything girlie so we themed their boxes to Princess'.

This post contains Amazon Affiliate Links.

I brought the boxes you see in the pictures from a shop in the UK called Home Bargains. They also did orange and green. The Princess Playdough Cutters worked perfectly with the theme and the Polka Dot Purple Ribbon made a great touch!

In each box there were 6 different batches of playdough. They were all different colours and some had glitter added to them to create different textures and sensory experiences.

I designed tags to attach to the boxes - if you would like a copy of them just drop your email on the bottom of this post and I will send them over to you. I also have them in orange so be sure to let me know which colour you want.

I used the ribbon to attach the cutters onto the box and secured the ribbon on the bottom of the box with a little sellotape.

We made sure that there were spares so if any of the girls wanted dinosaur boxes they could and the same for the boys if they wanted Princess boxes.

The childrens faces lit up at the end of the party when they went to select their boxes! I had some adorable photos sent to me too by their parents of the little ones getting stuck into them when they got home!

There are so many different playdough recipes you could try too! You can add different colours, scents, textures and you could even add different materials to the boxes for children to use in their creations.

Remember that not all playdough recipes are safe for younger children. There are edible options but if you choose to create your playdough using salt make sure you tell all the parents the contents.

The children may also have allergies that you may need to take into consideration. You could always set about making a recipe card to pop into the box so parents know how the playdough has been made! They may want to use it in the future to create their own batches too!

As I mentioned we made some super cute Dinosaur Party Favours too, along with some edible treat bags so be sure to check them out!
