Party Hat Christmas Tree Craft

Every time we have a party I buy the same things - plates, forks, spoons, knives, cups, bowls and party hats. I never check what I already have in so I am left with a growing stash full of random bits and bobs! Mind you the spontaneous BBQ's we have over the Summer I can always cater for so it's possibly not a bad thing.

I thought I would start using some of them in our crafts. Today I am sharing with you what we have been busy making using the PARTY HATS!

Party hats are a cone shape, they are pretty sturdy and make great Christmas Trees!!

You will need:

Party hats
Paint
Glue
Craft materials such as: Glitter, Pom Poms, Buttons, Beads etc

The invitation to make and decorate was set up and ready! I say by and waiting for Little N to spot it and of course it wasn't long at all!

She loves glitter and the large pots are great for younger children as you can twist the tops and control the flow. She got very carried away with the sequins and spilt them all out onto the floor.....

I wasn't suprized the PVA glue was irresistible for her!

We haven't used this glue much so she seemed intrigued by it. It was going all over the table and all I could think about was the satisfaction I would have peeling it all off once it had dried (HA!)

Little N definitely follows me for being like a 'magpie' and attracted to anything that is pretty and sparkles! She loved this craft. So simple and perfect for younger children!

As she went on to make several of them we kept two and gave the rest to family and friends! Little N would have no doubt continued to make them but I ran out of hats! Woops!
