Daffodil Handprint Art

Spring will soon be here. The daffodils, snowdrops and crocuses are starting to bloom providing us with some beautiful, well missed colour.

As soon as the daffodils start being sold in the shops, I have them around my home in vases. Daffodils are a sign  that Nature is beginning to start waking after the bitter cold winter and frosts.

Its a fun time where we can start to think about planting seeds and preparing for the warmer weather ahead.

We have been enjoying doing some hand and foot print art lately and we created our very own daffodil using our hands!

You will need:
Yellow Paint
Green Paint
A small cup/container
PVA Glue
Paper

1. Spread yellow paint over your hands.

2. Towards the top of your paper, begin by printing the 'petals'. Work your hand prints round in a circle, overlap them slightly.

3. Using a paintbrush add a stem. Note: Daffodils do not have leaves on the stems.

4. Once your paint is dry, using PVA glue add your cup/container in the centre. We used a little paper sauce cup for ours. We painted it yellow before adding it to the paper.

...... and there you have it, a very simple, effective daffodil craft.
We have ours stuck to our fridge at the moment. Little N keeps showing all our visitors her daffodil and it's a lovely, bright piece of art to display.

The Grandparents have been asking for one for their fridge too!!
