St Patricks Day for Kids

I have been busy gathering some fabulous arts, crafts, activities and snacks that all link to St Patrick's Day. Celebrated in March, we have some wonderful ideas to ensure you all have a fabulous time enjoying and marking this celebration of Irish culture with the children.

St Patrick's Day is a global celebration of the Irish culture. It is typically celebrated annually on the 17th of March. There have been times over the years (1940 an 2008 to be exact) where the date has been changed to not coincide with Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is a Christian celebration that falls on the Sunday before Easter.

St Patrick's Day is named in the honour of the patron Saint of Ireland who ministered Christianity in Ireland in the fifth century.

During St Patricks Day people gather to enjoy spectacular parades. People consume their favourite food and drink whilst dancing, singing and enjoying fireworks.
