Playdough Sensory Bag

We created a playdough sensory bag to explore today.

We used some black homemade playdough for this activity (you can find the recipe here). We placed quite a lareg amount into the bag and squished and squashed it down flat until most of the bag was covered with playdough. I then reached in and placed a few neon coloured straws around in the dough to add to its texture.

These playdough bags are particularly great for children who are not keen on getting messy and who opt out of any hands on sensory activities.

Little N enjoyed pushing the straws even further down into the dough. We do a lot of playdough play in our home so she kept looking at her hands and although it gave the sensation that was no traces of it on her hands which seemed to puzzle her a little.
