We have been exploring different sensory bags lately and I decided to put together a Heart themed/inspired sensory bag for Little N.
I used pink shampoo to fill the bag. Shampoo that is almost transparent is a really good sensory bag filler as it is very therapeutic squishing and squashing the bag. The smell lingers too so adds to the sensory experience even more.
Inside the gel I added
- Plastic Heart Gems
- Red Glitter
- Purple, Red and Pink Pony Beads
- Very small cut up straws
Little N began by exploring the bag on the table top. She used her fingertips to press down into the oozy shampoo and watched as the objects moved along inside. She quickly noticed the hearts inside.
We also stuck the sensory bag to the window to allow the light to pass through even more so. I didn't stick down the bottom of this bag. Little N enjoyed squishing and squashing the bag up in her hands.
Little N also explored them on our homemade light table.
