Well it's that time of year again, Autumn is now here. Autumn walks are so relaxing, thought provoking with so many beautiful colours to look at and lots of new natural textures to explore.
We have looked on as the daffodils began to bloom, the frosty sunny mornings of spring, some of us may have been to feed the baby lambs at the farm.
The array of bluebells, the Easter Egg hunts and then not forgetting the arrival of summer.
The 6 week holidays landed before we knew it. We enjoyed fun in the garden with the BBQ's and swimming pools out and in the blink of an eye it seems Autumn.
It was a lovely dry evening today so we decided to take Little N on a lovely woodland walk in her wellies (she loves her wellies or 'welly gogs' as she calls them).
Little N decided to take her wicker basket with us today. These baskets are great! Really recommend getting one if you haven't already.
The floor was littered with colourful crispy leaves, lovely fresh pine cones and conkers bursting out of their husks. The acorns won't be long too.
We went on to explore the woodland after lots of collecting. She ran over to a fallen down tree.
"Oh dear, what's happened?" she asked concerned.
With help she climbed on top of the tree trunk and walked along slowly.
I am planning to share 'Percy and the Park Keeper - After The Storm' with Little N over the next couple of weeks. Knowing this tree is here, we shall be returning once we have read the story.
Now we have a basket full of the joys of Autumn. I think Little N will enjoy exploring these on her nature table.
Have you been on a woodland walk yet?
